Current 8th Graders lend a helping hand

At the core of the St. Cassian School mission is the role of our school to encourage and assist students in developing as moral and productive young Catholic leaders. During the school year, we aim to provide opportunities for our students to tangibly connect faith to real life situations.  One of the ways we encouraged students to make this important connection is through group and individual service projects.

Students in kindergarten through fifth grade often participate in collaborative service projects.  The teachers and students brainstorm ideas and select an activity for their class.  The project may involve something as simple as making a card for a veteran or collecting mittens for a homeless shelter.  The students in sixth through eighth grade, however, are encouraged to engaged in individual service to the community.  In meeting their goals to demonstrate kindness and love towards others, some of our students dedicated time during their summer vacation to lending a helping hand.
