Miss Bordogna
St. Cassian School students thrive among the most successful in the nation due to the dedication and talent of its school staff.  Known for its outstanding faculty, St. Cassian School is delighted to have one of its talented teachers recognized as the Archdiocesan Teacher of the Year for 2020.  Please join us in congratulating Miss Amanda Bordogna as the Archdiocese of Newark's Teacher of the Year, an honor conferred upon just one teacher out of the entire Archdiocese of Newark each year.

Well deserving of this recognition, Miss Bordogna models our school theme of "Love Your Neighbor" by caring for her students, connecting with them in person and remotely, providing ongoing feedback and support, and taking on leadership opportunities within our school to support the success of all.  In the classroom, she demonstrates a thorough understanding of her subjects and exemplary teaching by effectively engaging students through hands-on collaborative lessons.  In her various roles and through her position as the 8th grade religion teacher, Miss Bordogna's love of and strong commitment to her faith and commitment to her vocation are apparent and inspiring.

Miss Bordogna's recognition as the Archdiocese of Newark's Teacher of the Year has been highlighted through a Q&A published on the Archdiocese of Newark's website.  Click here to read the article.

We are grateful for her dedication to our school community and wish her all the best as she competes statewide for the distinction of New Jersey's 2020 Non-public Teacher of the Year.
