On January 25th, to commemorate the beginning of Catholic Schools Week, Father Marc Vicari, pastor of St Cassian Church, presented Dr. James Morgan the Alumnus of the Year Award in recognition for his Christian Service. Dr. Morgan, a St Cassian School 1978 graduate, is the co-founder of Lamp for Haiti an organization that brings free medical services to one of the most impoverished areas in the Western Hemisphere. In addition to providing free medical care, the organization engages in water and sanitation projects, supports local schools, and provides health education and humanitarian aid. He has served as the Lamp’s Medical Director since the organization’s inception, and is currently its president.We are proud to say that Dr. Morgan’s two sons, Daniel (2008) and Jude (2009), also graduated from St Cassian School.
